Spring - Blooming Bulbs
Fall is the time to plant bulbs such as
daffodils. Bulbs are some of the best
perennials. They are drought tolerant
and long-lived and will multiply in your
yard. They like six hours of sun a day
while the leaves are green. They can
take dappled light but won't bloom in
the shade. They like soil that is loose
and well-drained. Plant bulbs twice as
deep as they are tall, and water well
after planting. When winter begins to
melt away and spring finally arrives,
what a nice suprise to have daffodils
show their little heads.
