If you would like to propose a candidate for membership in
RVGC, please contact Denise Revercomb, membership chair.
Applications are received year round, but the two deadlines are
October 1 and April 1.

REQUIREMENTS OF ACTIVE MEMBERS
Attend Meetings Regularly. Respond to the Recording Secretary by the Sunday prior to
the meeting. Any member with three absences during one club year shall be reviewed
by the Executive Committee and may be dropped from membership.
Pay Dues Promptly. If not paid by June 1, a $10.00 penalty will be assessed.
Hostess a meeting a minimum of once every three years.
Sign Up for two committees each year, each having a two-year term. New members will
be assigned to the Transportation Museum Committee for the first two years.
Participate in Club Activities:
A. Ways and Means. Participate in fundraisers as determined by the Ways and Means
Committee. Financial obligation will not exceed $50 per member per year. A $10 late
fee shall be assessed for any financial obligation not met by the assigned date.
B. Historic Garden Week. 1) Hostess at least one shift; flower arrangers get their first
choice of shift. 2) Bake cookies or donate money to refreshment chairman. 3) If
out-of-town during HGW tour, secure a substitute for hostess shift and request an early
assignment from HGW chairman.
D. Flower Shows. Each member shall serve on a team for the GCV flower shows
interclub arrangement as determined by the glower show committee.
E. Actively participate twice annually in your selection of the following:
1. Bring a horticulture specimen to the monthly meeting or in-club show.
2. Bring a flower arrangement to the monthly meeting or in-club show.
3. Attend a Conservation Committee Forum or Seminar.
4. Attend a GCV flower show or other GCV event.
5. Special projects, as deemed acceptable by the board.
REQUIREMENTS OF ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
Pay dues by June 1.
Notify the Recording Secretary if you will attend a membership meeting.
Support Club activities when possible.
